Estancias
A very particular lodging tendency in Argentina is to stay in an “estancia” or farm. They are agricultural premises with the old big principal residence called "casco", specially adapted for hosts, generally served by their owners. The estancias offer visitants to participate in all the tasks related to our farms, such as cattle marking, cow milking, cattle handling, sheep shearing and horse taming, as well as excursions to enjoy the region’s flora and fauna, horse–back riding, hunting, fishing and other sports. Located in Patagonia, the Northeast or Andean Northwest, along the Andes Mountains or in the immensity of the Pampa plains, Estancias are an attractive and different alternative.

There are lodgings either for women or men or both. Prices vary according to the area, the services offered, the rent time (by the day or by the month).

Timeshare
Timeshare and resort vacation properties are a particular alternative. It is a system where the benefits of an apartment or vacation house converge with the services provided by a high level hotel: maids, recreation, and restaurants. The system offers apartments or units for 2 to 12 people. To have more information and details about this type of lodging, you can refer to the Argentine Chamber of Timeshare Properties (CATC).

Hostels
Hostels are another particular lodging system, different from hotels, motels or bed & breakfast. Their main characteristic is that they are arranged for guests to move within common areas: living–rooms, leisure rooms and recreation facilities. Hostels are mainly a place where guests can gather and it is ideal to meet people. Their environment is friendly and amusing, ideal to spend a good time.
